Walter J. Porter Elementary School is a S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) school. Things are really heating up in our classrooms as our teachers develop lessons that incorporate NGSS standards and engineering practices into project based learning opportunities. We are very excited about our NEW science and engineering lab taught by Imanda Marcus. In addition, we are currently partnering with the Elementary Institute for Science to give all our 4th and 5th graders the opportunity to particpate in a 5 week afterschool STEM program.
